The Needham Concert Society was founded in 1981 by William Gibson, a talented and generous Needham resident and Boston Symphony Orchestra member. He strove to present excellent live performances to Needham audiences. NCS presents talented ensembles and soloists from the Boston area, including members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
The Concert Society has presented many concerts at the First Baptist Church of Needham as well as other churches and schools in Needham. Every year four programs are presented, including an annual Piano Festival.
The Concert Society is managed by a Board of Directors who share the responsibilities of programming, publicity and production logistics. If you would like to be notified of future Needham Concert Society events, learn more about volunteer opportunities, or participate on the Board of Directors, please contact Judy Currie or David Tierney.
